About us

A children's sports organisation built around primary school life

ETT Sports delivers sport and physical activity for children aged 3–11 — in schools, during the holidays and at Victoria Park. We work alongside primary schools and families to make sure children have somewhere active, positive and well organised to be, whether that is a PE lesson, a breakfast club or a full week of holiday camp.

Ernest Toquie

Director, Founder, and Physical Education Specialist (DSL)

Ernest founded ETT Sports Limited and leads the company’s direction, coaching standards and safeguarding culture. As Designate Safeguarding Lead, he holds overall responsibility for child protection policy, staff training and safe practice across holiday camps, school PE and wraparound provision. A Physical Education Specialist with years of experience delivering for primary-age children, he shapes programmes so every session is active, inclusive and well organised. Schools and families work with a director who stays close to delivery — not just strategy — and who sets the bar for how children are welcomed, supervised and encouraged.

Focused on children's physical activity

Primary school is where children decide whether sport is for them. Our whole approach is shaped by that. Sessions are active from the first whistle, built on games rather than queues, and pitched so that the least confident child in the group still finishes having taken part properly.

Working with primary school age children takes a particular kind of coaching — clear instructions, short activities, plenty of encouragement and the ability to change a game on the spot when it is not landing. That experience runs through everything from our early years sessions to competitive games with Year 6.

We also understand the practical side. Schools need reliable cover and clear communication. Parents need to know their child is safe, occupied and coming home having enjoyed themselves. We plan our provision around both.

Our approach

How every ETT Sports session is built

  1. 01

    Plan

Every camp, club and PE lesson starts with a plan: age groups, session structure, equipment and outcomes. Schools know what is being covered; parents know what the day looks like.

  2. 02

    Engage

Children are moving within minutes. We use games, challenges and short, varied activities so attention stays high and nobody stands waiting for a turn.

  3. 03

    Develop Skills

Sessions build progressively — balance and coordination for the youngest children, then handling, striking, tactics and teamwork as they move through primary school.

  4. 04

    Build Confidence

Skills are only half of it. We create environments where trying counts, effort is recognised and children leave willing to attempt something they could not do last week.

Active, positive and inclusive environments

Inclusion is not a policy line for us — it is how sessions are structured. Games are adapted so children of different abilities compete meaningfully in the same activity. Groups are organised by age and stage. Coaches are briefed to notice the child hanging back, not just the one scoring.

The result is an environment where children want to join in, and where trying something new feels safe.
